Menophanes
Menophanes ( Greek Μηνοφάνης ) was an ancient Greek sculptor .
Menophanes, son of a Lysanias, came from Sinope . He worked in the first half of the 1st century BC. In Halicarnassus . Today he is only known because of the signature on a grave monument found in Bitez . The inscription stone is now in the Museum of Bodrum . Menophanes is next to the 3rd century BC. The sculptors Euandros and Klerias were the only other known sculptors of antiquity who came from Sinope.
