Merle Kroeger

Merle Kröger (born July 19, 1967 in Plön ) is a German crime novel writer , screenwriter , filmmaker and producer.

Kröger studied film studies and journalism at the Free University of Berlin . She has been making her own videos and films since 1987 and works as a freelancer for arte , ZDF , 3sat , Deutsche Welle and other TV stations. Several documentaries were shown at German and international festivals and have received multiple awards. In 2003 she celebrated her crime debut Cut! also her first successes as a crime fiction writer. She is active in artist groups and co-founder of the group of authors and production company dogfilm and the media art platform pong . She is also a member of the PEN Center Germany . She has lived in Berlin since 1985 .
