Mert Örnek (born February 12, 1997 in Aydın ) is a Turkish football player.

Career

Örnek started club football in 2007 in the youth department of Söke Gençlikspor and later played for the youth departments of the clubs Kuşadası Trabzon GSK , Kuşadasıspor and Bursaspor . In August 2015, he received a professional contract with this club, but continued to play mainly for the club's reserve team. On August 15, 2015, he made his professional debut in the league match against Trabzonspor . With the professionals he played five league and three cup games this season. This season he also won the reserve team championship with the Bursaspors reserve team, the Bursaspor U21.

In the summer of 2017 he moved to Giresunspor .

National team

Örnek began his national team career in September 2015 with a mission for the Turkish U-19 national team . In 2017 he made his debut for the Turkish U-21 national team .
