Mert Erdoğan (born March 1, 1989 in Ereğli ) is a Turkish football player who plays for 1461 Trabzon .

Career

Club career

Mert Erdoğan started club football in the youth of MKE Ankaragücü . In the summer of 2004 he received a professional contract, but continued to play for the reserve team. It was not until the end of the 2007/08 season that he was involved in professional training in addition to his work in the reserve and was included in the squad of the league games. He made his professional debut on April 13, 2009 in a league game against Manisaspor . The next season he was mostly on the bench and only played three competitive games.

From the 2009/10 season he played successively for half a season at Konyaspor , Bugsaşspor , Türk Telekomspor and Denizli Belediyespor . With the latter he was promoted to the third highest Turkish league.

The 2011/12 season he returned to Ankaragücü. After Ankaragücü got into financial difficulties in the first few weeks of the season and could not pay the players' salaries for a long time, many players split. Erdoğan was then brought into the professional squad and was almost always used as a regular due to the lack of players.

For the second half of the 2013/14 season Erdoğan moved to the second division club 1461 Trabzon .
