The Merton Passage is a strait off the north coast of South Georgia . On the east side of the entrance to Cumberland Bay , it runs between the Right Whale Rocks and a small cliff 160 m north of Barff Point .
British Discovery Investigations scientists surveyed and named between 1926 and 1930. The further naming background has not been passed down.
