Mervyn Taylor
Mervyn Taylor (born December 1, 1931 in Dublin ) is a former Irish politician of the Irish Labor Party .
biography
Consisting of a Jewish dating Taylor family studied after school attendance law and was after graduation as Solicitor operates.
He began his national political career as a candidate for the Irish Labor Party in 1981 with the first election as Member of Parliament ( Teachta Dála ) of the House of Commons ( Dáil Éireann ), in which he represented the interests of the Dublin South-West constituency after five subsequent re-elections until 1997 .
On January 12, 1993 he was appointed by Prime Minister ( Taoiseach ) Albert Reynolds as Minister of Labor in the coalition government consisting of Fianna Fáil and the Labor Party . On January 21, 1993, a week after the appeal, the name of the ministry was changed to Minister for Equality and Judicial Reform. As such, he was a member of Reynolds' cabinet until the collapse of the coalition and his resignation on November 17, 1994.
When a coalition government of Fine Gael and Labor Party was formed on December 15, 1994 , the new Prime Minister John Bruton again appointed him Minister for Equality and Judicial Reform. As such, he was a member of the cabinet until the end of the coalition on June 26, 1997.
