The Merzbox is a collection of 50 albums published by Merzbow . In addition to the albums, the Merzbox also contains a book , a CD-ROM , a T-shirt , a poster , postcards , stickers and a medallion . The Merzbox was released in 2001.

The book contains a biography about Masami Akita , the musician behind Merzbow, written by Brett Woodward and other musicians inspired by Merzbow, such as Jim O'Rourke , Damion Romero , Achim Wollscheid and Eugene Thacker . The CD-ROM from the famous Melbourne Multimedia - designer Troy Innocent designed.
