Mesa is a Portuguese pop band.
history
Mesa was founded in 2000. On May 19, 2003 the self-titled debut album was released by Zona Música , after some success it was re-released on September 19, 2003 by EMI Portugal as a double album with further pieces. With the re-release, Mesa reached number 28 on the Portuguese album charts. In 2004 the band won the Globo de Ouro , an award from the Portuguese television station SIC , for best group.
After the album Automático 2011, singer Mónica Ferraz left the band and began a solo career. The former singer of the band Nonstop , Rita Reis , became her successor.
