Mescheide is a locality of the city of Graefenhainichen in the district of Wittenberg in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
Mescheide is located southeast of the city center of Graefenhainichen, from which it is separated by the Berlin-Halle railway line and the 107 federal highway . In the southwest of the place is the Gröberner See .
history
Mescheide belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office of Graefenhainichen until 1815 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna the place to Prussia came only in 1816 the district Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony granted, which existed until the 1944th Mescheide belonged to the province of Halle-Merseburg until 1945, again to the province of Saxony until 1947 and finally from 1947 to the state of Saxony-Anhalt .
