The Messent Peak is a 1,100 m high mountain in the center of the Antarctic Peninsula . In Graham Land , he stands out as one of the peaks of the Bristly Peaks immediately west of Brodie Peak and 8 km southwest of Mount Castro on.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1977 after David R. Messent (* 1943), geodesist of the United States Army Topographic Command , who belonged to the winter team at Palmer Station in 1969 .
