The L8 is a metro line of the Barcelona Metro . The line has eleven stations, which are located in the tunnel except for Molí Nou-Ciutat Cooperativa and Sant Boi. The length of the route is about twelve kilometers. The line runs from the west-southwest located Sant Boi de Llobregat to the center of Barcelona at Plaça d'Espanya .

The route was opened in 2000. A journey from end point to end point takes about 20 minutes. Like lines 6, 7 and 12, it is operated by the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya railway company.
