The Alicante-Elche metropolitan region ( Alacant-Elx in Valencian ) is one of currently eight metropolitan regions in Spain . With 773,714 inhabitants (as of 2012) it is the smallest of the Spanish metropolitan regions.

It is made up of the Alicante region and the Elche - Crevillent region.

Area of ​​the metropolitan area

The metropolitan area consists of a total of 12 municipalities, all of which are located in the Alicante province of the Valencian Community .
