The Puhŭng metro station (부흥 역 / 復興 驛 = resurgence) is a subway station on the Chŏllima line of the Pyongyang Metro , the capital of North Korea . The station was built in 1987 and is a frequent starting point for tourist underground journeys for foreign visitors.

Art and propaganda

The artistic design of the station deals with the topic of work in North Korea. Various reliefs and wall mosaics depict a flourishing industry and agriculture in honor of the politics of the Labor Party of Korea .

At the head of the platform is the central mural entitled “The Great Leader Kim Il-sung Among Workers”. It is 15.8 meters long and 9.25 meters high. Behind the tracks there are two more mosaics, each 24 meters long and four meters high. They are titled “A Morning of Innovations” and “Song of a Record Harvest”.
