The butcher's cross near Rednitzhembach is a historic stone cross near Rednitzhembach in the Middle Franconian district of Roth in Bavaria .

The atonement cross is about 850 meters southwest of the Rednitzhembach community. It is located there between the state road St2404 and the Rednitz valley floor . It is there to the west of a forest road right on the edge of the forest. The small monument stands on a modern base, is made of sandstone, has signs of processing and is moderately weathered. It has the dimensions 99 × 87 × 30 cm. The right arm is rounded off by tees. In the intersection area there is a modern butcher's ax, which was only added during the restoration in 1992.
The cross originates from the 15th century. According to Schwabacher school books, the cross was damaged by a gunshot in 1945. Before the restoration, the cross was very crooked. In 1992/93 it was (over) restored and placed on its current base.

Legend 1: There is said to have been a murder case here in the Middle Ages , in which a butcher who supplied the stone cutter in the nearby quarry with food was robbed and killed.
Legend 2: In the 15th century two butcher boys got into an argument here and both died in this place.
