Mevlud Dudić

Mevlud Dudić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Мевлуд Дудић ; born July 27, 1966 in Tutin , Yugoslavia , today Serbia ) is the President of the Islamic Community in Serbia , Vice-President of the Parliament of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Rector of the University of Novi Pazar .

Life

Dudić attended primary school in Tutin while finishing the medrese in Pristina . He graduated from the Faculty of Islamic Theology in Sarajevo in 1989. He received his master's degree in 2005 with a thesis on "The Origin and Development of the Madrasa in Novi Pazar " at the University of Novi Pazar . In 2007 he made his doctorate, also at the University of Novi Pazar, with the thesis on "The role of the Sibjan Mekteben (Islamic elementary schools) in the preservation of Islam in Sandžak ".

In 2011 he began his second term as rector of the International University of Novi Pazar.

On January 4, 2014 he was elected President of the Islamic Community in Serbia and is the successor to the Mufti des Sandžaks Muamer Zukorlić .
