Mia Dyberg

Mia Dyberg (* 1986 ) is a Danish jazz and improvisation musician ( alto saxophone , composition ).

Dyberg grew up in the Swedish archipelago and attended Fridhem's Folkhögskola . After completing a bachelor's degree at the Rytmisk Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, she completed a master's degree in music there in 2015. She founded her own trio with Asger Thomsen (bass) and Dag Magnus Narvesen (drums), with whom she last released the album Ticket! ( Clean Feed Records , 2018), and the quartet Dyberg 4 Ra , but also performed internationally in duos with Kamilla Kovacs and Christian Balvig. She also played with Herb Robertson , Niklas Barnö, Oscar Noriega , Axel Dörner , Tristan Honsinger , Pierre Borel and Michael Evans .

Dybeg currently lives in Berlin and plays with improvisation musicians such as Clayton Thomas , Rudi Fischerlehner, Brad Henkel, Casey Moir and Tobias Delius . She is co-founder of the international improvisation collective The Community .
