Mia Nygren (* 1960 in Sweden ) is a Swedish model and actress . She is best known for her leading role as Emmanuelle in the feature film Emmanuelle 4 .

biography

Mia Nygren began an international career as a model in 1980. In August 1980 she appeared on the cover of the American edition of L'Officiel magazine .

In 1983 she took over the role of leading actress Emmanuelle Arsan in the feature film Emmanuelle 4 under the direction of Francis Leroi instead of Sylvia Kristel .

The acting debutante Nygren was suddenly in great demand as a photo model. The magazine VSD introduced it to French readers in its 312 issue as “the new Emmanuelle” (“la Nouvelle Emmanuelle”). As a new sex symbol, she was seen on covers around the world. She appeared on the covers of the French men's magazine Lui , the Dutch magazine Aktueel, the German magazine High Society, the Italian magazine Albo Blitz and in the American men's magazines Penthouse and Playboy . The Japanese Hogara Iketani dedicates a photo book to her.

Mia Nygren's film career was short-lived. The character Emmanuelle remained associated with Sylvia Kristel, and in 1987 the American Monique Gabrielle took over the role.

Mia Nygren was only shown again in the cinema in 1988, where she took on the leading role of Annabel in the German erotic thriller Plaza Real , directed by Herbert Vesely , alongside Jon Finch and Sonja Martin .
