The Micasa is engaged in furnishing trade. The specialist store belonging to the Migros Group is represented at 37 locations with a sales area of 75,203 m². The Migros specialist stores Micasa, SportXX, Melectronics, Do it + Garden and OBI generated sales of 1.774 billion Swiss francs in 2018 .
Micasa was founded in 1981 by the Federation of Migros Cooperatives as a supplement to the " Do it yourself " specialist stores at the time . The range and the branch network have been continuously expanded over the years.
In addition to furniture for all living areas as well as office furniture , the range also includes products and accessories for everything to do with living , eating , sleeping , bathing , lighting and working, as well as floor coverings . The furniture stores are largely self-service , but they also have sales advice.
