Michael Albers

Michael Albers (born March 8, 1966 in Hamburg ) is a German politician. From 2003 to 2008 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament . He is married and has two children.

education and profession

After attending secondary school in Bruchhausen-Vilsen and graduating from high school for electrical engineering in Nienburg , Albers completed an apprenticeship as a measurement and control mechanic. He also completed a part-time psychology degree and trained in systemic family counseling. After completing his military service, he has been an independent management consultant in the field of continuing education since 1993 and a family crisis consultant since 1997.

politics

Albers was involved in voluntary youth work as early as 1982. In 1995 he joined the SPD . Since 1996 he has been councilor and deputy mayor of the Martfeld community and councilor of the Bruchhausen-Vilsen community . Here he is chairman of the joint parish committee for social affairs and youth. He is also a member of the district council in the Diepholz district and chairman of the SPD local association Bruchhausen-Vilsen.

From 2003 to 2008 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament. Here he was a member of the Legal and Constitutional Committee and the Social Working Group. In the parliamentary group of the SPD he was youth policy spokesman and responsible for juvenile criminal law, juvenile delinquency, drugs and AIDS.

In addition to his party membership he belongs to the workers' welfare , the BUND and ver.di on.
