Michael Blättel (born September 29, 1960 in Elz ) is a former German soccer player and current coach .

The midfielder began his career at SV Elz and moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1977 . There he made his Bundesliga debut on December 1, 1979 at Werder Bremen. He won the UEFA Cup in 1980 with the Frankfurt team and won the German Cup in 1981 .

From 1981 to 1986 he was under contract with 1. FC Saarbrücken , after which he ran for Fortuna Düsseldorf , FC 08 Homburg and SV Darmstadt 98 . Michael Blättel made a total of 102 appearances in the Bundesliga and 159 games in the 2nd division .

Blättel has been working as a trainer since 1991. He was with VfR 19 Limburg , 1. FSV Mainz 05 (Juniors), FSV Frankfurt (Regionalliga Süd, 1998-2000) and from 2008 to September 2009 as a coach of the A-youth of SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the A-Juniors Hessenliga active. From 2011 onwards he was a coach at the Eintracht Frankfurt football school for a while.
