Michael Blum (* 1966 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli artist and author.

Life

After studying history in Paris and photography in Arles , he developed his work, which includes video works, books, and installations, in the direction of a critical re-examination of cultural production and history. He lived in New York City and Vienna . Since 2010 he has been a professor at the "École des arts visuels et médiatiques" (Department of Performing Arts and Media Art) at the Université du Québec à Montréal in Canada.

In 2008, Blum published the artist's book “Mein Land” as part of the exhibition Land of Human Rights: At the border of the thinkable in Graz . Represented the everyday normality of human rights violations in the European practice of deportations of immigrants .
