Michael Scott Doleac (born June 15, 1977 in San Antonio , Texas ) is a retired American basketball player who played in the NBA between 1998 and 2008 .

Career

Doleac initially played four years at the University of Utah . With the Utes he reached the side of Andre Miller in 1998 the final game of the NCAA, in which, however, the University of Kentucky was defeated. Doleac was selected after his time in Utah in the 1998 NBA draft in 12th place by the Orlando Magics , where he spent the first three professional years and was also sporadically on the grid. After less successful years with the Cleveland Cavaliers , Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks , he moved to the Miami Heats in the summer of 2004 , where he was a substitute for Shaquille O'Neal and was able to win the NBA championship with the 2006 Heats. After another year with the Minnesota Timberwolves , Doleac resigned in 2008.

Today Doleac works as a physics teacher at an American high school in Utah and coaches the basketball team.
