Michael Færk Christensen (born February 14, 1986 in Hobro ) is a former Danish cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2003 Michael Færk Christensen became Danish junior champion in the team pursuit , in 2006 he won the team time trial on the road together with Martin Mortensen and Christian Knørr . In 2007 he won the U23 edition of the Chrono des Herbiers . As a result, he was one of the Danish four-man team that was specifically prepared for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing by German trainer Heiko Salzwedel .

In the spring of 2008 the Danish four-man with Casper Jørgensen , Jens-Erik Madsen and Alex Rasmussen became vice world champion in the team pursuit, in August of that year the team won (Michael Færk Christensen, Michael Mørkøv , Casper Jørgensen, Jens-Erik Madsen and Alex Rasmussen ) won the silver medal at the Olympic Games . In the same year Christensen was the Danish U23 champion in the individual time trial on the road. As a result, the four was voted cyclist of the year in Denmark . In 2009 the Danish foursome made up of Casper Jørgensen, Jens-Erik Madsen, Alex Rasmussen and Michael Mørkøv became world champions .

Færk Christensen ended his cycling career in 2010, and in September of that year he contested his last race.
