This was followed by activities in research and teaching in the field of fluid mechanics at the TU Berlin , where he obtained his doctorate in 1968 and his habilitation in 1971 .

In 1973, Jischa became an adjunct professor at the Institute for Thermo- and Fluid Dynamics at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences and in 1974 a lecturer at the Chair of Fluid Mechanics at what was then the University of Essen . In 1981 he became professor for fluid mechanics, institute for technical mechanics at the Technical University of Clausthal (TU Clausthal). For several years he worked internationally as a visiting professor , including in Israel, France, China and Poland.
