Michael Ford (born April 23, 1986 in Dandenong , Melbourne ) is a former Australian track and road cyclist.
Athletic career
Michael Ford won the silver medal in the singles and the bronze medal in the team pursuit at the junior track cycling world championships in Moscow in 2003 . He was also the Australian champion in two-man team driving . At the World Championships in Los Angeles the following year he was junior world champion in the singles and in the team pursuit. He became national junior champion in 2004 in the single pursuit and in the two-man team driving. From 2006 Ford drove for the Australian Continental Team Southaustralia.com-AIS . In his first year there, he won a stage in the Tour of the Murray River . In 2007 Ford won the elite team pursuit championship with Zakkari Dempster , Richard England and Sean Finning . In 2008 he ended his cycling career.
