Michael Alan Gothard (born June 24, 1939 in London , England , † December 2, 1992 in Hampstead ) was a British actor , best known for his role in the television series Arthur of the British .

Career

Gothard worked for film and television from 1966. He starred in the films Herostratus (1967), Up the Junction (1968) and The Three Musketeers (1973). Gothard was also seen in the James Bond film In a Deadly Mission (1981) as the villain Emile Leopold Locque. He didn't have to speak a sentence here. He played an important supporting role in the television film Jack the Ripper - The Monster of London alongside Michael Caine. He played his last role in Dr. Frankenstein 1992 alongside Patrick Bergin and Randy Quaid .

Gothard died of suicide in 1992.
