Acropolis Tournament 1997

The 11th edition of the 1997 Acropolis Basketball Tournament took place between June 12 and 14, 1997 in Piraeus . The six games were played in the Stadium of Peace and Friendship .

In addition to the hosting Greek national team , the national teams from Germany , France and Italy also took part. While it was the second participation in the Acropolis tournament for Germany (after 1996) and France, the Italians took part for the seventh time and were able to win the tournament for the first time.

The following players took part in the tournament for the German national team: Vladimir Bogojevič , Patrick Femerling , Henning Harnisch , Sascha Hupmann , Alexander Kühl, Nicklas Lütcke, Jürgen Malbeck, Tim Nees, Ademola Okulaja , Marko Pešić , Henrik Rödl , Denis Wucherer .
