Acropolis Tournament 2007
The 21st edition of the 2007 Acropolis basketball tournament took place between August 20 and 22, 2007 in the suburb of Marousi of Athens . The six games in total were held in the Olympic Hall .
In addition to the hosting Greek national team , the national teams from Italy , Lithuania and Slovenia also took part. While Slovenia took part in the Acropolis tournament for the third time and Lithuania for the fifth time, Italy took part in the tournament for the 14th time.
The stars of the Acropolis tournament 2007 included the Greeks Dimitrios Diamantidis and Theodoros Papaloukas, the Italians Andrea Bargnani and Denis Marconato , Rasho Nesterovič from Slovenia and Šarūnas Jasikevičius , Ramūnas Šiškauskas and Darius Songaila from Lithuania.
The Greek Vasilios Spanoulis was named MVP of the tournament . The top scorer was Ramūnas Šiškauskas with a total of 43 points (14.3 on average).
