Acropolis Tournament 2006

The 21st edition of the 2006 Acropolis basketball tournament took place between July 31 and August 2, 2006 in the suburb of Marousi of Athens . The six games in total were held in the Olympic Hall .

In addition to the hosting Greek national team , the national teams from Italy , France and Croatia also took part. While Croatia took part in the Acropolis tournament for the second time and France for the third time, Italy took part in the tournament for the 13th time.

The stars of the Acropolis tournament in 2007 included the Greeks Dimitrios Diamantidis and Theodoros Papaloukas, the French Tony Parker , Mickaël Piétrus and Boris Diaw .

The Greek Dimitrios Diamantidis was named MVP of the tournament .
