Michael Pit

Michael Grube (born May 12, 1954 in Überlingen ) is a German violinist .

Life

He received his musical training from his father Max-Ludwig Grube, as well as from professors Max Rostal ( Bern ) and Henryk Szeryng ( Mexico ). Michael Grube also studied musicology and composition . As early as 1968, at the age of 14, he received the “H. Master Prize for Music Students of the Society for Music and Art Friends eV Heidelberg ”, shortly afterwards the“ Robert Mayer Prize of the City of Heilbronn ”.

He has given concerts in 110 countries and in most international music metropolises. He has also received awards and honorary citizenships worldwide. He created editions for the publishers Musikverlag Doblinger , Vienna and Pro Musica International (USA) and was chairman of the jury at the 8th International Mozart Festival Competition (USA). In 2003 Michael Grube was voted International Musician of the Year in Great Britain in his field. In 1999 he was visiting professor at the State Music Academy Minsk and gave a guest performance with his students at the Mozarteum , Salzburg .

Michael Grube formed a permanent duo with the German guitarist Siegfried Behrend and performed repeatedly with his master student, the guitarist and President of the German Music Council , Martin Maria Krüger . Grube plays a violin attributed to Nicola Amati .

Grube has its main residence in Quito / Ecuador.
