Extremism theory

For Hofmann, right-wing and left-wing extremism are on the same level. In the course of the neo-Nazi marches in Graefenberg , the local CSU participated in the alliance against the right. The district association of the Junge Union, headed by Michael Hofmann at the time, did not take part in the demonstrations against the marches. He explained:

“Every form of extremism, right and left, should [...] be countered. That is one of the reasons why the JU has so far held back. Left-wing extremists are involved in Graefenberg. I chase away some arsonists and let the others into the house. "
