Michael Kämper-van den Boogaart (born December 25, 1955 in Essen ) is a German literary scholar and didactic specialist and was Vice President for Studies and International Affairs at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 2011 to 2016 .

Life

After studying subjects German and history in teaching at the Universities of Cologne and Hamburg from 1976 to 1982 and the preparatory service for the higher education ministry was Kämper-van den Boogaart as a lecturer at the University of Manchester . From 1986 to 1992 he worked as a teacher at various schools and at the same time worked as a freelancer for the NDR . In 1990 he received his doctorate at the University of Hamburg , in 1992 he went to the University of Lüneburg as a research assistant for didactics of German language and literature . In 1997 he completed his habilitation and took on a substitute professorship at the Humboldt University in Berlin, and in 2002 he was appointed university professor for specialist didactics and modern German literature. From 2002 to 2006, Kämper-van den Boogaart was Vice Dean for Studies and Teaching, and since 2006 he has been Dean of the Philosophical Faculty II at Humboldt University. In November 2010 he was elected Vice President for Studies and Teaching at Humboldt University, and took office on April 1, 2011.

Among other things, Kämper-van den Boogaart is a specialist advisor at IASLonline and a specialist advisor to the Institute for Quality Development in Education . His work focuses on the teaching concept for German lessons , also from a diachronic perspective, literary theory and sociology and the history of German literature in the 20th century.
