Michael Kilgarriff (born June 16, 1937 in Brighton , East Sussex ) is a British film and television actor , radio play speaker , and author of non-fiction and children's books.

Life

Michael Kilgarriff, born in Brighton, East Sussex in 1937, began his acting career in the British adventure series The Golden Spur . Since then, he has played in over 20 roles in international feature films, television films, and television series. Including in British television productions such as Doctor Who or Oscar's Orchestra , where he spoke Mr. Crotchit in 37 episodes. In 1978 he was seen as the Green King in Dorothea Brookings for the BBC- produced fantasy television miniseries Der Mondschimmel alongside actors such as James Greene , Sarah Sutton , David Haig and Caroline Goodall .

He was also seen or heard in cinema productions such as Camelot - Am Hofe König Arthur (1967) or in the fantasy feature film of the puppeteers and Muppets inventors Jim Henson and Frank Oz in The Dark Crystal from 1982.

Michael Kilgariff's many other television appearances between 1959 and 2002 include ITV Television Playhouse (1963), UFO (1970) and Tipping the Velvet (2002).

In addition, Michael Kilgarriff became known as the author of a number of non-fiction and children's books.

His daughter Rebecca Kilgarriff (* 1971) also became an actress.
