Manfred Dietrich (born February 15, 1944 in Kaltenkirchen ) is a retired German officer ( Lieutenant General retired ). From 2001 to 2005 he was Deputy Inspector of the Army .

Promotions

Dietrich joined the Bundeswehr in 1964 . First in the training company 11/3 in Hamburg, he was then trained as an officer in Hamburg and Munster. From 1966 to 1968 he was platoon leader in the 92nd Panzer Grenadier Battalion in Munster. In 1968 he became an orderly officer in the HQ Allied Forces Central Europe (AFCENT) in Brunssum. 1970/71 he was S1 / 2 in Panzergrenadierbataillon 332 in Fürstenau.
