Michael Klauß (born April 20, 1987 in Sindelfingen ) is a German soccer player . He is under contract with the Stuttgarter Kickers .

Career

In 2006 Klauß moved from the youth team at GSV Maichingen to the second team at VfB Stuttgart . For two years he played regularly in midfield, but without being a regular player. In the 2007/08 season the VfB U23 qualified for the newly created 3rd division . Klauss made his professional debut on July 26, 2008 on the first day of the 2008/09 season against Kickers Offenbach . In his first year as a professional he was a regular in the Sturm der Schwaben. The following year he was only regularly on the pitch in the second half of the season, but then mostly only as a substitute.

In January 2010, Klauß completed a trial training session with the then regional league team VfR Aalen , but a subsequent commitment did not materialize despite Aalen's interest. Thereupon Klauss left Stuttgart after the end of the season and signed a two-year contract with SSV Jahn Regensburg from the 2010/11 season . In his first year he was first often used as a substitute, in the second half of the season he became more and more a regular player. The following year he was seeded as a left winger. This also had an impact on his success rate: with nine goals in 30 games, he was the team's second top scorer. By reaching 3rd place, there were two relegation games against Karlsruher SC for him, at the end of which was the promotion of SSV Jahn Regensburg to the 2nd Bundesliga. However, Klauss did not extend his expiring contract with the Regensburg team and finally switched to VfR Aalen for the new 2012/13 season , which had meanwhile also been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga.

In the course of the season Klauß completed a total of 22 second division games, 14 of them from the start. In the following season he made the breakthrough to the regular player on the left wing position and with three self-scored and seven prepared goals in 27 games, the best assists of the Aalen. In the summer of 2016, he moved to the second team at 1. FC Köln. After two years, the left winger returned to his home region and is currently playing for the Stuttgarter Kickers .
