Michael Kunczik
Michael Kunczik (born March 1, 1945 in Colditz ; † March 29, 2018 ) was a professor at the Institute for Journalism at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz .
Kunczik dealt mainly with theories and concepts as well as the history of public relations and public relations . Another focus of his academic work was crisis PR and PR for states and international organizations. He has also made a name for himself in media impact research in the past .
Kunczik used the terms propaganda and PR synonymously. This view is controversial. For Kunzcik, on the other hand, as long as there was no clear separation between the two terms, the synomial use was not only legitimate but scientifically necessary.
