Career

Löwe studied computer science with linguistics as a minor at the Technical University of Berlin from 1975 to 1981 , where he also received his doctorate in 1990 after working as a research assistant and finally qualified as a professor in 1997 . In the meantime, from 1993 to 1996, Löwe worked as a department head at the Fraunhofer Institute for Software and System Technology and then as managing director of HDI-Informationssysteme, a subsidiary of HDI .

From July 2000 to 2019 he was a professor at the FHDW Hanover, and until 2018 he was also head of the IT department there.

Löwe did research in particular on questions of graph transformation and, based on this, on model transformations .
