Michael Ljunggren

Per Michael "Joe" Ljunggren (born March 22, 1962 in Helsingborg , Scania , Sweden ; † July 17, 1995 in Markaryd , Småland , Sweden) was a Swedish rocker . He led the Swedish chapter of the Bandidos as national president.

Life

Ljunggren co-founded White Trash MC , Sweden's first outlaw motorcycle club , with Jan "Face" Krogh Jensen in the mid-1980s . He then became a member of the Helsingborg club Morbids MC, which later became the first Bandidos club in Sweden in a patchover . Ljunggren rose as a founding member and became national president.

On July 17, 1995, Ljunggren returned home to Sweden from a visit to the Finnish MC Undertakers with Jan Jensen, a former Hells Angel who had changed clubs. The two took a ferry to Stockholm together and then made their way to Helsingborg. However, Jensen's Harley broke down in Ljungby and so Ljungren drove on alone. On the E4, south of Markaryd , Småland , he was shot at by a sniper and lost control of his motorcycle. He was then run over by a car. An ambulance took him to a hospital, where he was mistreated. The doctors overlooked the gunshot wound in his back. The bullet had penetrated his protective vest . Although no one could be prosecuted in the case, the public believe that he was killed by a member of the Hells Angels. The two clubs were fighting each other in a three-year conflict known as the " Rocker War in Scandinavia ".

He left two sons.
