Michael O'Hara
Michael Futch O'Hara (born September 15, 1932 in Waco , Texas - † February 1, 2018 ) was an American volleyball player .
O'Hara won the gold medal at the 1959 Pan American Games and the silver medal at the 1963 Pan American Games . He participated with the United States men's national volleyball team in the 1964 Olympics. O'Hara was also one of the best beach volleyball players in American volleyball history. He won 38 Open Beach Championships , making him third to win the tournament the most.
In 1967 he was awarded the All-Time Great Volleyball Player Award from the USVBA excellent. In 1989 he was inducted into the " Volleyball Hall of Fame ".
After he stopped playing volleyball, he was the coach of the Santa Monica youth team , then a referee and then a member of the board of American volleyball.
