Michael Reinhardt

Michael Reinhardt (born June 19, 1961 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Trier .

Live and act

After high school and military service, Reinhardt studied law at the University of Bonn . After studying abroad at the University of Cambridge , he passed his first state examination in law in 1985. After the subsequent legal clerkship, he passed the second state examination in 1989. In the same year, he was awarded the title The Powers of Intervention of the Water Authorities in the Remediation of Contaminated Sites to become a Dr. iur. PhD. In 1990 Reinhardt obtained a Master of Laws from Clare Hall College in Cambridge . In 1996 he completed his habilitation under the supervision of Jürgen Salzwedel and received the Venia legendi for the subjects of constitutional law and administrative law.

Reinhardt has held the full chair for public law at the University of Trier since 1996 and has been director of the Trier Institute for German and European Water Management Law since 2006. His main research focus is on water law . Among other things, he is co-editor of comments on the Federal Water Act and the Federal Waterways Act .
