Michael Reudenbach

Michael Reudenbach (born September 13, 1956 in Aachen ) is a German composer . He appears as an interpreter of old and new music .

Live and act

After training as a church musician from 1976 to 1982, Reudenbach studied composition from 1986 with Joachim Blume in Cologne and Denis Cohen in Paris. In 1984 he took part in interpretation courses given by Philippe Herreweghe. In 1990/1991 he attended composition courses from Helmut Lachenmann and Mathias Spahlinger.

He taught music theory, analysis and ear training at the Church Music Academy in Aachen (1982–1999) and at the HfM Karlsruhe (1999–2016), composition at the Stuttgart Solitude Summer Academy (2005), at the Darmstadt Summer Courses (2006) and at the Dresden and Music Universities Stuttgart (substitute professorships between 2012 and 2015). Since the winter semester of 2016 he has been Professor of Composition / Music Theory at the HfMDK Frankfurt am Main.

Michael Reudenbach has received prizes and grants from the Akademie Schloss Solitude and the Heinrich Strobel Foundation of the SWR, among others .
