Michael Rohde (theologian)

Michael Rohde (born December 20, 1973 in Pinneberg ) is a Baptist theologian and Old Testament scholar .

Life

Rohde studied theology at the Theological Seminary Hamburg / Elstal Theological College, the University of Hamburg (intermediate examination) and the Humboldt University in Berlin . From 2001 to 2004 he completed a doctoral degree at the Philipps University of Marburg; at the same time he was a lecturer in Hebrew at the Ewersbach Theological College. In 2004 he passed his doctoral examination at the Philipps University of Marburg as Dr. theol. from.

From 2004 to 2007 Rohde was pastor of the Evangelical Free Church Community in Ilmenau and research assistant at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena . He then was Professor of the Old Testament at the Elstal Theological University and deputy director of studies until 2015 ; since then he has been the leading pastor of the Evangelical Free Church Community in Hanover-Walderseestrasse and lecturer at the Leibniz University of Hanover at the Institute for Theology and Religious Studies.

The focus of his academic work is on: the Book of Job and theodicy question , exegesis of psalms and psalteries and hermeneutics of the Old Testament, as well as biblical archeology.
