Michael Rosecker (born March 4, 1970 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian historian , philosopher and politician of the SPÖ .

Career

Rosecker works as a division manager for political management and basic work at the Dr. Karl Renner Institute . He studied history and philosophy at the University of Vienna and worked at the Industrial District Museum Wiener Neustadt. In 2001 he was in charge of founding the daily publishing association , which he has headed as chairman and managing director ever since. He is the editor of several books. He has also published a number of scientific articles. In 2002 he received the recognition award of the state of Lower Austria for adult education for his book "Zwischen Provinz und Internationale" . He is politically active as a local councilor in his hometown and in 2009 - together with the editor Brigitte Haberstroh and the publisher Maximilian Huber - founded the Stolpersteine ​​for Wiener Neustadt project, which is dedicated to memorial work for the victims of National Socialism .
