Michael Scharmann
Michael Scharmann (born July 16, 1974 in Waiblingen ) has been Lord Mayor of Weinstadt since 2016 .
Life and professional activity
Michael Scharmann grew up in Weinstadt-Schnait , attended the Reinhold-Nägele secondary school in Weinstadt-Benzach and then the business high school in Stuttgart-Ost . He studied from 1995 to 1997 at the Ludwigsburg University of Public Administration and Finance .
He worked for the city of Weinstadt and in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , there a. a. as Chairman of the Staff Council and Head of Internal Services.
From 2014 to 2016 he was a city councilor for the Free Voters in Weinstadt, of which he was the local association chairman until his election as mayor. In 2016, Scharmann was elected Lord Mayor of Weinstadt with 64.3%. Since July 2019 he has also been a member of the district council of the Rems-Murr district .
Scharmann is the chairman of the local DRK association in Weinstadt.
Scharmann is married and has two children.
