Michael Schroeren (born March 11, 1946 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

education and profession

Schroeren completed an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering and trained as a businessman. For 35 years he has been working as a freelance businessman in the real estate industry.

Schroeren is married and has two children.

Which is Schroeren since 1971 member of the CDU since 1975 belongs to the city council of the city of Moenchengladbach and was there from 1999 to 2009 Mayor. From 2004 to 2009 he was a member of the landscape assembly in the Rhineland Regional Council . From 2005 to 2012, Schroeren was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament for the Mönchengladbach I constituency . Most recently he was a full member of the Committee for Building, Housing and Transport, the Main and Media Committee, the Culture Committee and the Sports Committee.
