Michael Schubert

Michael Schubert (born August 27, 1986 in Bamberg ) is a German swimmer . His specialty is freestyle swimming , especially 50 and 100 m. In 2004 he moved from SG Bamberg to SV Bayreuth and trained with Olaf Bünde until 2009 .

From 2007 to 2013 he studied materials science at the University of Bayreuth . In October 2013 he graduated as a Dipl.-Ing. successfully and did his doctorate there at the chair for functional materials.

  • 2004 German year-round champion in 100 m freestyle, junior vice European champion with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay in Lisbon
  • 2004 3rd place at the World Cup in Melbourne over 200 m freestyle. Participation in the European Short Course Championships in Vienna

  • 2006 German runner-up in the 100 m freestyle. Participation in the European Short Course Championships in Helsinki
