Michael Vanderaerden
Michael Vanderaerden (born February 10, 1987 in Diest ) is a Belgian racing cyclist .
Michael Vanderaerden won a stage at the Critérium Européens des Jeunes in 2003 as a junior rider. In 2004 he won two stages in the Lower Saxony Tour of Juniors and in 2005 he was once successful there.
In the adult sector, Vanderaerden rode with international cycling teams between 2006 and 2011 . In 2007 he won the team time trial at the Volta a Lleida with Davitamon-Win for Life-Jong Vlaanderen . In the same year he was seventh in Rund um die Nürnberg Altstadt .
Michael Vanderaerden is the son of Eric Vanderaerden , who was a very successful cyclist in the 1980s. His uncle Gert Vanderaerden was also a cyclist.
