Michael Weins

Michael Weins (born March 9, 1971 in Cologne ) is a German writer .

Life

Weins studied psychology at the University of Hamburg . He is co-founder of the literature club Macht eV , the Schischischo and the Liv-Ullmann-Show .

In 2000 and 2005 he was awarded the Hamburg Prize for Literature . Like the works before that, his second novel Delfinarium , which is set in the Altes Land and is located in Hamburg-Finkenwerder during the expansion of the Airbus runway , received a lot of positive feedback in the press. In 2016, Weins was awarded the Hubert Fichte Prize . He lives as a writer and psychologist in Hamburg.
