Michael Zieglmeier (born September 27, 1874 in Rohr in Niederbayern , † May 20, 1959 in Munich ) was chief mining director and board member of the BHS-Bayerische Berg-, Hütten- und Salzwerke from 1934 to 1952.

From 1905 to 1908 he was works manager of the Peißenberg mine. He was instrumental in expanding the Peißenberg mine and making it what it once was. From 1905 to 1907 he had the coal washing plant built at the Tiefstollen, on his initiative the main shaft in Peißenberg was sunk from 1912, which was renamed Zieglmeierschacht in 1954 on the occasion of his 80th birthday. At his suggestion, the Peiting mine was built in 1920 . Thanks to him, the BHS steelworks were made competitive and he supported the construction of settlements in the mining areas. He became an honorary citizen of the mining towns of Peißenberg , Ammerhöfe , Peiting and Hohenpeißenberg . In 1952 he was awarded the Cross of Merit (Steckkreuz) of the Federal Republic of Germany. A street in Hohenpeißenberg is named after him. He was buried in reed.
