history

The name "Ammerhöfe" was first mentioned in 1752.

As a result of the community edict, the community Ammerhöfen was created in 1818, which belonged to the Weilheim district court , later the Weilheim district .

During the time of National Socialism there were plans to dissolve the community. The last mayor of the Ammerhöfe was Friedrich Dollmann ( SPD ) from 1966 to 1977 .

coat of arms

Blazon : “In blue a silver slanting left river , which is accompanied on both sides by a silver farm and covered in the middle of the shield by a golden bridge ; a silver mallet crossed above and a silver miner's hammer with gold handles. "

The coat of arms of the Ammerhöfe, designed by Emil Werz , was used from 1955.

Klemens Stadler gave an explanation: “The coat of arms gives a picture of the geographical location of the municipality through which the Ammer flows, which has almost only individual farms , and thus also a reference to the municipality name. Strikes and hammers as miner's tools symbolize mining on the Peißenberg and thus also the gainful employment of the non-farming part of the community's population. With the former strong fragmentation of the manorial power in the town hall, a connection to the historical coats of arms of certain earlier monasteries or noble families was not possible. "
